"Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn" is one of those things that you write knowing that it will someday be public in a legal case and yet they still chose to phrase it that way. Kinda sad, tbh.

I mean, you just sort of explained the raison d'Γͺtre for Bari's TFP and ascension to CBS, so there is--at least--a perception of an audience...
...among a certain class.
The guy who brought you the Laquan McDonald cover up to get reelected?
GET FUCKED.
I saw that! chef's kiss self-parody.
aww, thank you so much!
They were more than their prejudices, of course, as are the vast majority of people.
But having written about personal and institutional racism for a couple decades, I get very irritated by people who just dismiss giant red flags because they don't understand how prejudice works.
I loved my parents, but my mom said some pretty nasty shit about Black people, despite marrying a Black man and having two children with him. Similarly, my dad didn't respect women very much despite two daughters and marrying twice.
This is who they were.
I'd say the quacking bird certainly resembles a duck.
But the broader point:your personal politics isn't absolved by those close to you or who you sleep with. Every misogynist has/had a mother. Many marry women and have daughters. It doesn't change who they are or what they believe.
The constitution's design does not grant the president a kinglike ability to take the country to war by himself, lest he do so for self-serving reasons. That is the entire purpose of dividing that authority between POTUS and Congress. Guess what just happened? www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
Cβmon, man, we know drug gangs are anything but communist. Guys at the top hoover up all the cash.
See, e.g., Levitt and Venkatesh, (2000).
Thatβs right. Even my sarcasm has citations.
waiting for Robby's apologia for 'edgy groupchat talk' and any other reason other than racism.
Only the best people
Spoken just like a frat boy B-movie villain from the 1980s. Absolutely obscene he's in a position of power.
Again, I have to emphasize that the whole design of our constitutional structure as well as half of what Congress has done rests on the assumption that the president acknowledges the existence of other human beings with legitimate interests. That assumption having failed, the republic falls.
I'm sorry, if you're going to make a big show about how you've got a Department of WAR helmed by a Secretary of WAR and staffed by WARfighters, it's totally inane to then claim that your massive bombing of a foreign country constitutes something other than a war.
I gotta be on there for world news though bro.
Republicans, Democrats, libertarians, socialists, greens, non voters, triple Trump voters, Trump Biden Trump voters, Hamas, the IDF, BiBi, MBS, i can go all day.
This is very sound advice.
A United States senator from the president's own party, one who serves on the Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has no idea what's going on as America goes to war with Iran.
I wonder if a hard-line successor will assume power and further destabilize the region just like every other time this has happened
if you believe in any form of free enterprise at all, the idea that the Pentagon can not only cut off your contract but designate you a supply chain risk and prevent other companies from buying from you just because you won't build killbots for the government should be terrifying
One of those costs thereβs probably no way to quantify but is obviously huge is just the huge deadweight loss of time and mental energy spent thinking and talking about Trump relative to a normalish president.
Guardian Headline: US urges its citizens to leave Israel immediate amid strike threat on IranβDepartment of State also authorizes non-essential officials and their families to book flights elsewhere
The government knows they are destabilizing the most volatile region in the world, and yet they are going to do it anyway.
Congress sits on its hands as much of America has no idea whatβs unfolding. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/f...
