I'm currently reading "Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging" by Sebastian Junger, and that post is incredibly parallel to it. I don't know if you've read it, and I've never been to war, but I imagine this book is worth reading for everyone who has.
I view Goldeneye as almost more of an arcade game than a true FPS. But it's still high grade nostalgia for me.
Harvest Moon 64 is my favorite hands down. Then Starfox and Goldeneye (I consider Smash both Mario and Zelda related)
