They tried to do the popular dollhouse section of Village mixed with the early house part of 7 for Grace's first couple gameplay chunks, but I never found the "enemies follow a set pattern and occasionally pop out" lurker thing frightening. Still very well crafted.

Yeah, great game.

Very light on horror (essentially none in back half) but it's quite replayable and a good mix of the styles of the last few games.

HAMNET and THE RUNNING MAN both hit disc tomorrow, so time to do what I always do -- order them both for store pickup at Barnes & Noble right at midnight, because they only ever get one copy of anything non-Criterion and no one else in the Des Moines area sells movies in-store at all.

The new Scary Movie looks worse than the last couple. That's the worst trailer I've seen in years.

Well, there it is. Finally got the Platinum trophy and 100% completed DEATH STRANDING 2.

Took about 120 hours. The first 80? Great fun, doing side quests and the story at my own pace. The last 40? A miserable grind. I was too dedicated to seeing it through to stop, though.

Legitimately crazy that Daniel Day-Lewis didn't get any awards love for ANEMONE. Best performance of the decade. Comically underrated film. Oh well. It'll find its people eventually.

"A Winter Haunting" was the one that really resonated with me. Really nailed the small-town Illinois thing in a way no one else ever did very accurately.

One bad movie out of seven isn't bad, and at least it happened when the shithead executives deserved it to.

Unfortunately it looks like it'll make a bunch of money.

Just think, it could happen today.

That thought has gotten me through the last 13 months and will get me through the next one or two until it actually does happen.
