Same here. It looks like the BBC sounds site is having issues - the search is no coming up with relevant results on there either.

It probably time to change how knowledge is taught and evaluated. It will probably involve more work for the professors and administration have to stop evaluating based on simple metrics β¦
Sorry, that sucks. In theory IMAP would be better and they could have provided better instructions so stuff would not be lost. I hope they do a better job for the next person
And why should tax payers pay to protect these companies?
"Anthropic called for coordinated industry and government responses to address what it said no single company could tackle alone."
So Anthropic is saying distilling data from them is illegal. But is this not the equivalent of website scrapping which the AI companies are claiming is legal... lol
www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
Also depending on email client it may not be obvious
Yep. With IMAP you can have folders on the server, but folders created locally (when using POP) would have to be manually copied. They probably left that step out in the instructions
I wonder how many uni- administrators using office 365 have had confidential student data compromised this way⦠who is responsible from a GDPR PoV?
Call it what it is, @nbcnews.com. Concentration camp.
Every time.
The OED defines a concentration camp as βa camp in which large numbers of people, esp. political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities.β

"The news stories you consume...are increasingly controlled by technocrat Trump loyalists, and algorithmically skewed to the right to foment hatred...youβd do better getting all your news from Neil Young press releases."
Stewart Lee's brilliant weekly column.

Your lucky that the UK has mild weather - we have to wait a few more months before daffodils etc start emerging
and it is not an abstraction that the human "vibe coder" can debug...
It kind of makes sense to use human intellect to resolve situations that the AI can not handle (and there are probably a lot of cases). But the company (Waymo) should be legally liable to anything that happens (accidents, running lights, injuring pedestrians etc).
A shame they do not mention alternatives such as Ghost which is doing a better job (not 100%) keeping naziβs out
This is unconscionable. Palestinian immigrants to the U.S., like all immigrants, should never be detained and deported without due process, or denied the right to communicate with their loved ones and with lawyers.
The form reminds me of some of Alasdair Grayβs art, in particular the structure
If I recall correctly the Europeans are paying for Ukrainian access to starlink - if Elon is cutting it off then the EU should cut off access to Europe for Elonβs companies
Why are they not applying the law and issuing takedowns or fines to X β¦. Could it be that they are scared of a billionaire
Should I be worried? My home town of Minas Tirith engaged Sauron for their securityβ¦.
Cities go through cycles, that is one aspect that makes them interesting. Iβd rather live in a city than a suburb
Finished it be for the hols. Not as good as the first trilogy. Yep the wrap up is disappointing, the anti corporation message was a good/interesting direction but it kind of fell flat. I think he tied himself in a knot with that.
I may favour extending the ban to non commercial vehicles over a certain size such as SUVs. Or have a higher tax for those to reduce their use
Have a good holiday season :)
From Ireland?
It would be even more friendly if cars were not allowed to move when the pedestrian cycle is on ie no turns allowed during pedestrian βgreenβ light so the traffic lights for cars should all be red
I should have said Office 365
I am thinking also of those academic institutions that have offloaded their email and document storage. In exchange for lowering costs you have jeopardized the privacy of your staff and students.
If you are in Canada and your business/institution uses Office 360 or another US cloud provider for data storage then it may have privacy issues. The US Patriot act is still on the books and gives the US gov access to the data hosted by any US corporation regardless of where it is physically stored.
Canadian politics needs to remove the lobbying and influence of corporations - we need greater transparency and limitations on corporate influence. Make the government work for the people instead of mostly foreign corporations
It is good, maybe not enough. As universities become and act more like corporations their administrators will behave like the CxOs that they are imitating and will bow to pressure
