Wet 'n' Wild was theΒ UK's largest indoor water park when opened on 19 July 1993. It was situated at Royal Quays North Shields, and featured numerous slides, a wave machine, and rapids. It closed in 2019, and remained abandoned until 2024 when demolition work began.
