Conversational search has already disrupted local. Where can things go from there? I believe one of the things that we will see within the next five years is augmented reality and devices that will change forever. How people search for local.
Local search will be completely different in 2 to 5 years….

Local SEO teams should utilize ChatGPT and other LLMs as channels for traffic and conversions. Monitor traffic in GA4 then take action by carrying out queries about your brand to ensure that content there is accurate.
In 2025, user-generated content is expected to continue growing. We are already seeing more images, reviews, and videos created by users being featured in Google Business Profiles, and this trend is likely to expand.
I think we will have to work hard in 2025 to be local. This will separate you from the businesses jumping on LLMs and churning out sub-standard stuff. People want to see the businesses as local and support local.
Local search is a perfect fit for wearables. The transition from the phone to wearables is just beginning and I think we will see our first example of how augmented reality and wearables can benefit local SEO.
