Watching the men's aerials at the Olympics. I would be so good at the skiing down a short slope with no poles part of this event.

Unfortunately I would actually die if I had to jump or land.

β€œfuck this, fuck my skis, fuck my poles, fuck everything I’m going to live in the woods now” is the single most relatable thing an Olympian has done so far

I sure can’t do any of the stuff these people can but I will absolutely go live in the woods if I fuck up badly enough

After doing some sort of physical training every day for months, having a recovery week is super weird. I have so much time! I will definitely waste it.

This is basically how Australia's Bureau of Meteorology explained Celsius to the public at metrication in 1972 too!

Its PR officer came up with jingles about frosty fives, tingling tens, temperate twenties, thirsty thirties, and flaming forties

(frosty fives was -5 to 5, tingling tens 5–15, etc)

Shuffled through my first half-marathon today.

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong in the lead up, but because I'm always ludicrously lucky it all just worked out. *Way* slower than I'd planned, but pre-race finishing was my goal. I dunno, 21km is more of a driving distance I think.
