North Carolina A&T finished 12th in this 13th-team conference, but its pep band is a perennial top-two seed (at worst) at this tournament.

Griffin said zoning was a matter of necessity: "We haven't been able to practice 5-on-5 in roughly seven weeks. As we're installing this 1-3-1 in a more aggressive fashion, it also a gave us a chance to keep our bodies relatively healthy"

Griffin on defending Navy: "I thought we did what we wanted to do. Mike Woods hitting baseline 17-footers is not something you plan for. I think maybe we could have contested a little harder in that moment, but it's a credit to him. He took them with great confidence. There was no hesitation."
Griffin: "I thought we did enough, for the most part. I thought we did enough. ... I just credit the fact they stayed poised when we were doing enough to rattle them."
Bucknell coach John Griffin III: "Mike Woods hit some incredibly timely shots. At the end of the day, he's probably their sixth option and credit to him. Credit to the work he's put in to get him to the point where he's become a legitimate playmaker in some incredibly big moments."
Perry in Mike Woods: "He settles everybody down. For a young man to have that composure at his age is pretty impressive to me. It's something he practices --- he has a good 15-, 16-foot jump shot. He was finding a sweet spot on the baseline and the high post."
Perry on the response to staring down the 8-point hole in the second half: "As a group, we all have to collaborate. We have to aggressively work together through a game, and that is a high-stress game. You're supposed to win that game. Those games are kind of hard at times. We did a really good job"
Perry on Bucknell's 1-3-1: "The big thing is it neutralizes Aidan Kehoe. He got only three shots, so you've got spread out and you have to play four out and our guys executed really well. We shot 52 percent for the game and 48 percent from 3 and made 11 3s. But it slows you down."
Navy coach Jon Perry: "Mike Woods and Cam Cole in the second half just made big basket after big basket, and finally we started guarding a little bit."

Cam Cole had 16 points and Austin Benigni and Jinwoo Kim both had 14 for the Midshipmen (26-6), who erase an eight-point deficit in the second half to win their 14th in a row.
