Honestly though. Me at 17 would be awed.
Ash doesn't care for it too much, but he loves taking photos of Faysal 😆 In fact, most of the camera roll on his phone end up being photos of him, or of them together (usually courtesy of said boyfriend forcing him to take one)
There's nothing like sitting in Barnes and Noble in the middle of my work day to have a snack and debate how I can be a fiction writer...and struggle to write my notes for work on time. 😂

I don't share this to brag about how great a therapist I am. I share it as a future reminder to myself, and maybe to those that need it - that the work you put in matters. Even if you don't get to see the results, they are still out there. It's worth it, I promise.

And I am so ~proud~ of them. It's one thing to know that, more likely then not, the work I put in even on my hardest, worst mental health days is going to help someone stay sober. It's another to see it months, even years, after, that they took what I provided and ran with it.+
That was confirmation. What I thought would just be a quick drive and a run through a store to get out of the office for a few minutes and clear my head, led me to a previous client that was there, too. And that client? Doing amazing. Over a year sober, independent, and doing so, so well.+
And I've been feeling low lately, for a lot of reasons. Running my group has been hard, but I keep doing it in hopes that I can help at least one person that wants to get sober, stay sober. And today, I received something I didn't even know I needed on some level.+
