I thought about reading it a while back out of curiosity but I donβt want Varg to have any of my money and I couldnβt find a used copy. Sounds like I didnβt miss much.

What a terrible comment section
Out of the last 7 presidents only 3 of them have had major cognitive impairment so weβre doing pretty well
Iβve been into vinyl and cassettes since the mid 2000s and I never thought my CD nostalgia should come back but Iβm feeling the urge to buy some CDs.
Corporate algorithms can be useful but relying on them for all of your new music discovery leads to endless sameness and mediocrity because thatβs what theyβre designed for.
Black Label Society and Sons of Anarchy occupy the exact same cultural space.
I grew up in Oregon so I had that stuff around me as I was getting into extreme metal and I miss being out there. I moved to Boston and then Chicago and a lot of really cool bands out there are small and just do west coast tours.
Itβs definitely narrow in focus but like you said itβs an amazing collectorβs item.
Cascadian Black Metal is so good and it makes me genuinely proud to be from the PNW
I remember checking this out from the library years ago and Iβve been meaning to buy it ever since but just havenβt. Maybe todayβs the day!
Every time someone refers to music as βcontentβ a part of my soul dies.
Witch Vomit and Bewitcher can open!
NONE is one of the best recent depressive BM bands out there. Itβs such good music.
Great poster
Ethereal Shroud is top notch
I actually have that very doc bookmarked on my computer! Iβve been referencing it a lot because Iβm collecting a bunch of patches for a battle jacket. Itβs one thing to privately listen to a band and then disappointedly find out later theyβre sketchy, itβs another thing to rock their merch.
Oh that sucks, Iβm not familiar with Disma but I am with Akitsa and thatβs disappointing. Being an antifascist black metal fan sucks sometimes because thereβs so many sketchy connections all over the place.
Album of the day: βSongs of Blood and Mireβ by Spectral Wound, released 2024. Black metal from MontrΓ©al, Quebec. One of the best modern examples of straightforward black metal out there right now.
I havenβt seen them since fairly early in their career when I lived in Oregon, but Iβve kept up with them. Plus theyβre signed to Profound Lore which is just a great label full of excellent releases.
I love metal band names because someone will say βdo you listen to Funeral Mist?β and you say βyes, unless Iβm getting them confused with Dark Funeral or Funeral Stench or Funeral Dawn or Funeral Rites or Funereal Winter or Funeral Pyre or Winter Funeral or Hate Funeral or Funeral Throne or Thy Funβ¦
I love this band, I was just ordering a patch from them!
#Guitarists that use amp modelers, what product do you use? What do you like/dislike most about it?
That does sound effective
Spectral Wound is such an amazing band
Just joined here, how do I make #metalhead friends?
Went to a gig at a place with a solid concrete floor and it hurt my poor bones
Awesome playing. I love those headless Ibanez guitars too, theyβre so light and sleek.
