Thanks so much for the info Sue.
Hey all, sending out a question about what any of you feel is a good camera trap especially for night.
My son wants to set a few up.

All the more reasons I should make a road trip. On a side note I saw Surf Scoters for the first time last year off the Edmonds pier, they're such interesting looking birds.
I'll have to make the trek over to coast to see them in the future. I get a little complacent sometimes because there are so many different birds in and around Snohomish Co..
Where did you see these beauties?
I looked out the living room window to see the sunset throwing beautiful pinks and reds across the clouds.
This time of year in the PNW the sunsets can throw beautiful colors across the clouds. It's a beautiful view from the second story of my home. #sunsets
Junior is getting bigger!
Thanks Mike. I always try to figure out sizing etc. in my head.
It's so interesting to me that even though their habitat is so far from our pileated they look so similar. Are they the same size? Are there differences between male and female?
"Good grief human set some more food out. I need a bed time snack." π
I second that!π
Hey, wait a minute I do have reindeer and penguins. Nothing like mixing the North and South poles together. π¦π§π
Oh, I forgot there's also a #birds feed.
Ha ha! You know me too well.π
Pictured is a full sized light up baby tapir, brownish black with white spots and dashes.
A mother Malayan tapir lit up full size and shape lantern glowing in the dark next to a baby tapir lantern surrounded by glowing green vegetation lanterns.
ZooLights @woodlandparkzoo.bsky.social was fantastic this year. The event was made even better when I spied the mother Malayan tapir and baby watermelon.

The #mammals feed is a good group that started shortly after BlueSky's inception.

IT'S TIME FOLKS!
SOLSTICE IS ALMOST HERE!
EVERYONE is invited to our annual Solstice Toast:

Toast on the dot - then post a pic of you & your beverage OR just your beverage OR just post a hearty "SlΓ‘inte " as we wave buhbye! to the ever darkening days! #SolsticeToast
I have a special place on my heart for flawed leading characters. There were a few, dang I didn't see that coming, moments which I loved. The story style to me is reminiscent of a combination of Elmore Leonard and Carl Hiassen.
Please let us know what the tapir vet finds. Bananas has become such a favorite we all are invested in him being healthy.
Yeah, that's a bit too familiar.
Yeah, that one on his back still looks really red.
I'm so glad she feels comfortable with bringing him with her. He's darling.
I love his little nub tail. Did he get into more kerfuffles? He looks more banged up.
Excellent alt text!
When you ultra pack your carry-on because you don't want to check a bag.
It really does. The white mottling across it's body is beautiful.
I only have one disinterested house cat now. I've been trying for days to get a photo of a leucistic junco, but it is very flighty compared to it's compatriots. The wet adolescent Cooper's hawk on the other hand just stared at me.
Great shot! It's gorgeous. I so get this. My kitchen window and slider look out onto my deck and back garden and I've done the "get hands dry, get phone, don't move too fast" routine.
It's so sickening what these people do.
