Fox in the snow, 1893, by Winslow Homer. Itβs his day today.
The details in this are breathtaking β canβt imagine how long it took to draw all the flowers! How you drew the grass is also so expressive. Love the composition and what a lovely piece. Your art style is really charming!
Amid a trail of cypress trees are the ruins of a church. At its entrance, a person stands, their silhouette barely visible.
Barely there

Rough ink drawing of a man in a dark overcoat and a middle-aged woman. They are both working, minding their own business. The man says, "Saaskiya." The woman answers, "Hep." The man continues, "How do you want to die."
The two look at each other in expressionless silence.
Popping the question
Thatβs such a sweet thing β I had no clue that was the case in Finland! Happy Friendβs Day βΊοΈ!!
That's so sweet of you, ClichΓ© π!! Thank you so muchπ« recently, I find myself sketching a lot of landscapes and trees, which I've been enjoying a lot! I hope you have a great day as well βΊοΈβ€οΈ
Oh Paratonia, thank you!! I really wanted to capture a sense of place with this one, so the fact it evoked those feelings in you makes me so happy to hear βΊοΈ
They're really beautiful, and very satisfying to draw!
Sadly, I think the time for the cones has passed (working on a piece with some snow next!), but I'll keep it in mind next time I draw cypress trees again, or other conifers π€
Aw I'm so glad! When I was drawing it, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees kept playing on loop in my mind... the occasional cypress cone falling, rolling on the shadow-studded grass. Maybe I should've added some of those, now that I think about it, ahah
Of course! I'm always happy to see your art βΊοΈ
Right now I'm making smaller sketches as I plan a bigger painting β this time with my oc Sev! Life is a bit busy now so I don't have as much time to dedicate to art as I'd like, but I'm hoping to find some time soon. Thank you so much for asking π₯Ήπ«β€οΈ
There is an oc somewhere if you squint...

That makes sense π characters like her really appeal to me because of that. When it's not clear what they're thinking, it always fills my head with a lot of questions and I get very curious... I can't wait to get to know more about her through your future paintings!

I love how you painted the church in the back (the details in windows especially!) and the sombre yet soft tones of this piece create such a strong atmosphere. Even in this situation, Jason's personality always shines through with that smile of his, ahah. I wonder what Rebecca is thinking π€

I love how you shaded this one β itβs so satisfying to look at! Ingmar and Sai look π¨π³π¦π’π΅ in this style
Ink drawing of two creatures vaguely in the style of Tove Jansson looking around ominously. The shorter of them is carrying a huge binder. There are loose papers scattered around them.

Look at his happy little face π! Does he enjoy this type of disguise?
I've had this piece in my saved tab for a while and I keep coming back to look at it... the armour you designed for Cassandra is to die for and so are all the details in the composition: the smaller panels, the eyes by the frame! There's something so intense yet still tender about this that I adore
Praise blindness' eyes, for seeing is deceit

The shading on the pauldron and how you etched the sky is so pleasing to the eye. Love the extra element of narrative we get from the three smaller panels on the right!
