Rachel Duffy, Traitors winner.
Too lazy to send this in to Private Eye but: Deputy First Minister, or Traitors winner?
The Fall or Julian Cope. Iβd go for the former

Hello, I'm Gabby, fosterer & re-homer of cats. After a friend passed in Dec, we took in their precious babies. Typically, we don't struggle to find homes but this time we've hit a wall. These cats are AMAZING & we will deliver to anywhere in the UK for a perfect home where they're loved forever.

And flexible job starting times, jobs which are close to school and accessible by public transport or active travel...
Also, to go back to this, a lot of care-related short journeys may go via the home...

So generalised 'gender' statistics are not the most revealing metric.
I was also part of some engagement work with women last year which specifically asked about trip chaining, and it is very lifecycle dependent - i.e. the correlation with caring responsibilities is very high. Younger women with no dependents travel in a much more linear way.
The DoT recently released some research on trip chaining, which is a massive step forward, but I think there probably needs to be a slightly wider definition than they have used. www.gov.uk/government/s...
Short answer, no. There is very little consideration even that bike stores need to be safe for women and girls to want to use them, but this is changing and there are some brilliant examples of safe and inclusive bike storage in Holland, so it's not difficult.
The really big change, though, is just getting people to think about it. Which is basically what my job is across the whole public realm...
Sigh. So much change needed.
A green advert on London Underground which says "When you've got back home and have to pop out to walk the dog and got back home and have to pop out to pick up the kids and got back home and realise you've ant nothing to pop in the oven for.." with a picture of groceries and advertising Uber Eats and Co-op
Interestingly, advertisers understand the issues of trip chaining better than some transport planners - it's the relentlessness of a number of small journeys in different directions.
I think the real long-term answer is grouping care-related infrastructure to reduce trip chaining - reducing times makes women much more likely to use active travel (and in Bogota gave them enough extra time to do things like go back to education).
Pedestrianisation is a feminist act, for precisely these reasons
Apart from more feminism, the cure lies in urban design and masterplanning. The more we group the infrastructure of care, the more time women have and so, potentially, more uptake of active travel.
I would tell you all about care blocks in Bogota, but have to get a train.
OK, a thought on this. It's not just about liking cars. Women - who do the majority of this kind of transport - are time poor, due mainly to additional caring responsibilities. They also trip chain a lot (same reasons) and so TIME is the biggest barrier to active travel. 1/2
