Today I was given a cupcake from my front office besties & decided my daughter would enjoy it. But I needed to transport it home. Behold my maker-ed cupcake holder. I want you to know it was on my passenger seat and I hit the brakes and it slid and it was still good! STEAM learning baby! #tlsky

I remind my students (who have known me for years) that it’s me, their favorite librarian. They say “you’re our only librarian” to which I respond “that must mean I am your favorite” so next time make it Favorite librarian day ;)

All the above ideas sound amazing but I went super low maintenance. I cut out a bunch of hearts with our Ellison press and asked teachers to either email me a title or they could come by and tell me one. Then I just looped scotch tape and stuck it on the cover on display “so & so loves this”

I had a six fifth grader return a book in with almost every page dog-eared. I was like seriously?! I have a container of bookmarks here ALL the time!

These students can't get enough coding! They are very motivated by the code.org music lab and share their creations. I get to dance my way through class. It's a win/win!
