Nice summary of British airfield decoy sites here:
www.aviationmuseum.net/AirfieldDeco...
The British even had spoof aircraft sites with moving dummy aircraft!
And there's that story about a British bomber dropping a wooden bomb on a German wooden spoof town...
Absolutely everybody did this kind of spoof in WW2, it's not some huge modern innovation.
Of course, you would have to move the inflatables every day, so that it looked like they moved when the next recce aircraft came over.
No, but you aren't likely to have farm animals on grass airfields, so it's a spoof.
Bandcamp Friday! My partner Sarah, who is, sensibly, not on here, would like you to consider this album; all of the proceeds go to second harvest, a food rescue org here in Toronto. Cover art by @minouette.bsky.social !!

Question: someone i know who's already a writer in another area wants to do a crime-writing course. No getting published content, they have that covered, just craft stuff. Preferably online, suitable for a UK timezone. Please do share if you don't know of one! #AuthorSky

And stole all the content to feed into the LLMs.
More columns than the NYT. ๐
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

In the UK, an MP wishing to resign has to be appointed to the position of "Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Chiltern Hundreds", and then resign from that. I expect "Shield of the Americas" is a similar thing. ๐
This war with the Gorn Hegemony will not be an endless war. I only expect it to last about 4 weeks.

This is amazing. Genuinely thought it was from The Onion when I first glanced at the title.
Is this your Bond Supervillain phase?
Wales, famously, has absolutely no attractive landscapes that you could use a photo of for the front of your manifesto.
We only get the regular ones!
