BBC News. Please do not put pictures of children who have died on your main page. Some of us who have lost children so not want to see it. It's triggering to see.
Also closedown at 1:30 in the afternoon for over an hour!
A tweet from the Daily Mail with a headline saying "Four biblical signs the world has entered the end of days as US bombs Iran
This perfectly illustrates my point that the British tabloids are aiming at a US audience. There like 5 people in the UK who think about this. But it is huge among US evangelicals.
British politicians need to ignore UK tabloids, as UK tabloids are talking to an audience in the US for clicks.
I just got this bsky.app/profile/mark...
My latest OneDrive "On this day" image recommendation that is inexplicably a picture of Janet Fielding as Tegan in Doctor Who whilst under the influence of malevolent force The Mara with lit up red eyes.
Er...
coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
IPSO have published their verdict on The Daily Telegraphβs fake Β£345,000-a year banker couple who claimed they couldnβt afford five holidays.
The paper declined to explain to the watchdog how the article came to be published - but our reporting at the time sets it outβ¦
Yes. I was just thinking that. Farage may have a plurality but he'd be unable to command the confidence of the commons. Polanski on the other hand in that scenario conceivably could. Albeit with a minority coalition and C&S.
Oh god, I've had a bad and sad Celebrity Immient Death Visionβ’οΈ
And this one will really upset me
Ruh roh
"We called London a war zone and moved to Dubai by mistake"
Its decline makes me sad. 40 years ago when I was a kid living in a small town our local W H Smith was quite a posh place with a whole section given over to calligraphy pens and paper all in ornate cabinets. Now every one I go in is a dump with half the lights not working and rubbish on the floors.
Our taxes
Our taxes are paying for this instead of healthcare.
My Grandfather had Touretteβs. I know that he experienced prejudice and attempts to bully him. Iβve been pretty stunned that in the reaction to the Davidson episode, weβve seen a lot of the ignorance that he, a man living his life in the mid 20th century, would have recognised only too well.
A picture of Steve Pemberton from The League of Gentlemen playing a very creepy character which has inexplicably been recommended to me by OneDrive as a happy memory of this day in years gone by
Er.....
Yes I wondered about that. As I recall he was really launched off the back of that "You'll all be doin' it tomorra" appearance on I think Bob Monkhouse around 1983.
Net migration is such a stupid measure
As if *anyone* doing this is ever going to do that
That's exactly what both experts they got in to respond said. One of them said in terms "stop faffing around trying to avoid a tiny amount of tax".
Thanks. Very sad. He was clearly a deeply troubled man.
We're in our 40s, can we split our house with our two children now to avoid an inheritance tax bill? Money | Mail Online / Mar 1, 2026 at 11:28 AM Could we add our children's names to our deeds and put the house equally in all four of our names now? After seven years, would this gift then be free of inheritance tax?
I've just read the article here and it's "Oh noes teh taxman is potentially going to take Β£80,000 from our Β£1.2 million estate" i.e. about 7% of their estate and they're desperately thrashing around trying to find ways to dodge this claiming it's "penalising" them for living in Hertfordshire. FFS
I can well believe that. There's a clip somewhere of him on Pebble Mill around 1985 and he looks dreadful. You can literally see the sweat patches coming through his suit.
I didn't even know it was an advert. All I had was "it's weird" with the dur durs!
Oh wow. If that's true that would make total sense because it's very much in his style (if you can call his one-note shtick a style). I'd love to know if that was true.
It's 6 minutes in on this YouTube clip. Lenny looks like he's about 12. youtu.be/fgqLE3t-ru8
Thanks to one of @neilsmiles.com VHS uploads I have finally worked out something that has been bugging me for 45 years. Something with the catchphrase "It's Weird, dur dur du du". It's an advert for Square Crisps with Lenny Henry from 1982! I thought it was probably Roy Jay but could never find it.
From way back in the Looks Unfamiliar archives, here's the very first one that went unexpectedly viral - me and @markreckons.bsky.social talking about Hanna Barbera's classic horror-themed The Drak Pack, microchip-skewed action series Whiz Kids and more...
