Soooo tired right now, and I have 5 more hours to go.
I post a lot of self-centered nonsense on this app because the ugliness of the current U.S. presidency has left me stunned and speechless in matters of politics. Watching the evening news fills me with antipathy. Online photos of what’s happening make me wince and turn away.
Cruise flashbacks make me happy. This is me learning a dance.

Day off diaries: slept for 12 hours, got up and ate breakfast, ate 6 Reese’s snack size peanut butter eggs on top of breakfast, now going back to sleep for a half hour before my two workout classes. I’m in that kind of mood.

“Have a growth mindset…” I tell myself as I fumble through a challenging job, embarrass myself at yoga, and lose another connections puzzle on the NYT games app. Life is a sometimes humbling experience.
Feeling fiery tonight. I just blasted someone in the Facebook comment section of a NYT article for claiming that she used to weigh 350 pounds and then espousing a litany of fatphobic, cruel, stereotypically narrow-minded views about fat people. It felt good. It felt really good.
I can so relate to that 🤣.
Similar experience in my 20s…from a physical standpoint. I would smoke a cigarette then take a run. Psychologically, however, I was out of my mind most of the time.
Just a regular reminder to please support your local theatre, café, bookstore, bakery, and library. We breathe life into these places when we support them.
Without us, they can't survive, and truthfully, without them, neither can we.
Hot yoga kicked my ass today. My attempt at tree pose would suggest that my balance is about as strong as that of your average 80 year old man.
Not that I’m getting too invested in the NYT puzzle app…but today’s connections puzzle provoked within me a surge of rage. All their “hard” ones are easy, and all their “easy” ones are hard. SMH 🤦♀️.

I don’t eat at McDonalds much anymore, but I had time between my as mtg and yoga. This greasy & delicious fried chicken sandwich does not disappoint.

Jumped into a jazz and contemporary class over halfway through the season. It was hard (I didn’t know the steps to the dance they were practicing), but I stayed for hip hop class afterward! I’m fascinated by all the varieties of dance out there. Tonight I’ll be fumbling through a ballet lesson!

Realizing I feel guilty when I don’t spend what I perceive to be “enough” time at work. I feel like I’m slacking if I can actually get away with a 40 hour week. Note: I’m looking into starting therapy again, and this will definitely be a conversation topic!
