Great point. I agree! When I've quizzed her about her specific portfolio policies, her answers are vague and she doesn't seem to have great understanding, especially of how real jobs actually work. So she must rely on talking points.

Yup. They mistakenly believed she was socially liberal. Because of O'Connor they closed their ears to her anti-trans, anti-regular people rhetoric and policies.

Ugh, people really have an inability to remove the blinkers and bias. Does this mean many people are one issue voters and everything else is filtered through the bias of that issue? In the case of Ardern's detractors, it's clearly anti-vaxers.
Exactly my recent experience. I like it being a community hub but then when I want to read, I hate it being a community hub, esp the noise of the parents screeching to each other at the baby sessions. I like the idea of there being additional separate, soundproof spaces for all that other stuff.
And isn't that fascinating, there are people who are Christians and use it to enrich their soul, sense of purpose, give back etc, like Ashley, like Frank Ritchie. Then you get Simeon, Luxon, Penk et al who are Christian in order to control and hate. I guess it's always been this way.

That's so accurate! Simeon Brown was grinning away on the podium through the whole announcement on Sunday. That man is only in Christianity to control other people's autonomy.
To get a more balanced view, I highly recommend finding Aaron Hendry on social media or any of his tv/media appearances and listen to him day how the teens he's trying to help get refused emergency accommodation, even with experienced advocates helping navigate. The system is broken. π

I wholeheartedly agree. Losing bodily autonomy rights or trying to segregate transgender women ends up degrading all women's rights and very scarily so.

We were so worried about our child not having empathy when we found out he was born with a rare disorder. Psychologists told us empathy is learned, so we now have an incredibly empathetic teen. Neoliberalism however has encouraged individualism and fuck empathy. Altman is the result of that.
