Generic image of map showing cold spots in SHAPE subject provision in UK higher education.
Indicative map showing example of provider-level data on SHAPE student numbers in UK HE, zoomed in on Midlands/South East of England.
Our new maps launch today - now, crucially, with subject data from individual UK universities. This adds a new dimension to our cold spots mapping what students can study and where. The maps show a complex regional picture - let's get into it β€΅οΈ (1)

Lovely to see this article published today: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10..... Very happy memories of a lovely trip to Canada for the workshop of which this is one output. (Others here: economicpluralism.com?page_id=29).
Breaks my heart that such an awesome writer/thinker/researcher as you has imposter syndrome!
It's bad enough when it's anonymous, but "I know McCabe is a very junior scholar ... But for Christ's sake, she's not even read Packe" remains a "favourite" of mine from reviewers.
I saw yet another post on Twitter today from a grad student who received a peer review rife with ad hominem attacks on the authors' competencies rather than constructively critiquing the work.
I've written about this kind of nonsense bullshit in peer review before: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
A perspective view of Fourier's Phalanstère
Now in pre-print: StanisΕaw Knapowski (Adam Mickiewicz University) explores the phalanstΓ¨re of Charles Fourier (1772-1837) as a tool for transferring ideas & the operation of buildings, their blueprints & illustrations, as non-verbal speech acts in early socialism www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
