This is also very true for board game design (in my experience).
You don't need to be the best player or have played all games of that genre, but it REALLY helps to know what standards have been established for that genre.

I see too many designers limiting their own potential just because they are lacking certain information.
I am in a very privileged position as a publishers to meet a lot of people who are new to game design and try to design games that can be signed by publishers (which is not everybody's goal as a game designer).

90% of the problems "indoor people" have with homeless people's behaviour would be solved by making common public space an environment it is safe, tolerable, and livable to occupy. But the nature of capitalism is that nothing of value can ever be common.
Material quality is such a complex topic. I am still struggling with it. So many things are not standardized across factories/countries, so that "(insert color here) core" can mean something completely different, sometimes even that there is no core :D

With crop marks, but likely the problem stems from cutting multiple sheets at a time.
Had something like that with a rolling blade, but it's not precise enough because of how the ruler and blade interact.
Also highly appreciated if you have recommendations for circle cutting tools. Tried some with fixed radius, but was never really happy. Especially if something was glued before.
What is the best cutting tool you have used for cutting a ton of paper and cardboard for prototypes?
I have used a fixed rollcutter and ruler combination till now, but while it is very convenient it's never possible to see where you are actually cutting...
