RIP Chuck Negron. Three Dog Night was my first concert, I joined the fan club, still have the button somewhere. So, of the vocalists, only Danny Hutton is still with us. One is the loneliest number.

Smiling Robin is a watercolor painting in portrait format hand-painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. A small European Robin with a bright orange breast stands on a light blue shadow. The background is minimalist and emphasises the colorful presence of the bird. The little bird looks towards the viewer and seems to smile at him in a friendly manner. Like other songbirds, the robin is a welcome guest in my garden and always inspires me to create new paintings.

this makes me think of Sunday visits to the uncle's farm, barking dogs to announce our arrival, chickens, cows, piglets, big mid-day meals, and sharing secrets with cousins in a fort made of hay bales. Nostalgia is not a strategy, altho it can still hug your heart.
