it’s difficult to explain exactly what makes it so specifically French Canadien, vs France or larger Canada. I can only describe it as an unmistakable puppety-mimeishness that is unique to the region and its performance art scenes throughout the decades.
this popped into my feed a few days ago and I got maybe 20 seconds into it before saying out loud, to no one, “this is the most French Canadian shit I’ve ever seen in my life”. I had no idea where they were from. I just knew.
