Isobel Wilkerson's book "Caste" speak to this and how Nazi Germany studied the way that Jim Crow laws worked while planning the Nuremberg Laws. but they thought some of the Jim Crow laws were too much for Germany! (They later changed their minds on that, as we sadly know.)
