Kingdom Hearts and Beatmania share the honor of adding unhinged subtitles to differentiate the incomprehensible pile that is their respective franchises.
Sure you've got normal IIDX titles like "Red" and "Gold" but you've also got hits like "Lincle", "CANNON BALLERS", "BISTROVER", and "Pinky Crush"
I still think about the logo for IIDX 28: BISTROVER sometimes like what is even going on in this, absolutely unhinged shit.
In case you're wondering, it's a portmanteau of BISTRO and ROVER, and the whole theme was being a traveling culinary (who does everything via 7 keys and a DJ table... somehow)
Beatmania 1 and Beatmania 3 I believe had different button configurations with their controllers, but the layout and gameplay feel of 2 (or IIDX rather) caught on the best. So the Beatmania 1 and 3 sub-series were shelved and here we are now.
Yeah. Beatmania IIDX (2-dee-ex, meant to be a standin for "2 deluxe") gets a new version more than yearly at this point. Starting with IIDX RED (11) we also get some nonsense subtitle to go with the ridiculous number. As of last September, IIDX 32: Pinky Crush was replaced by IIDX 33: Sparkle Shower

We can't stay quiet about this. Even if you're only focused on your own survival and trans issues don't matter to you (I definitely don't like you if this is the case but that's beside the point), this is only the beginning. There will ALWAYS be another scapegoat. Eventually it will be you.

For those who are being similarly blindsided and confused - Kansas overnight invalidated the drivers licenses of every trans citizen. No warning, which I imagine is part of the point. Thousands woke up to learn they legally can't get themselves to work for the foreseeable future.

Made a post where I mused about how much GDQ improved their vibes by kicking out a nazi 10 years ago. Some dude showed up to argue the guy who a week prior had told everyone they need to vote for hypernationalist fascists to save their country somehow wasn't a nazi.
