Welcome to the @gftu.org.uk,
Woodcraft Folk!
To ban people in their own time coming to support the striking workers in an organised way should not be a priority for Birmingham Council.
Birmingham was built on worker’s sweat and Birmingham and Black Country workers have time and again fought for fair terms - from the chain makers to the women who won equal pay from the council last year.
The courts must back the right to peaceful protest and not grant the injunction.
We continue to stand with 5 therapists bringing an employment tribunal case against Metanoia Institute. The claimants urgently need to raise more funds ahead of a critical 13 February deadline.

Strike Map logo. Text reads: HOMERTON PHLEBOTOMISTS WIN! Good Enough for Homerston, Good Enough for Gloucester. NHS Workers Say No logo.
As health workers across grades, disciplines, and unions, we'd like to extend our congratulations to the phlebotomists at Homerton Hospital in London for their victory on rebanding and backpay this week. Like many NHS workers, phlebotomists all over the country have spent years performing clinical work above their grade and this new victory in London, after similar victories in Swansea, Hertfordshire, and Merseyside, re-confirms the recognition of phlebotomy as, at least, a Band 3 role.
This outcome makes it all the more appalling that Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust has still not settled what is now the longest running strike in NHS history. The Trust, under the leadership of CEO Kevin McNamara - who left his previous Trust in the wake of allegations of bullying - has refused to recognise their phlebotomists' legitimate claims and instead worked tirelessly the break the strike and undermine the phlebotomists' position. We re-affirm our unwavering solidarity with the Gloucestershire phlebotomists and call on their Trust to settle. If it's good enough for Homerton, it's good enough for Gloucester! Victory to the Gloucestershire plebotomists!

The graphic says resident doctor strike begins. Full walkout. 17 - 22 December
Today 10,000s of doctors will go out on strike, as they're willing to stand up for their profession against a totally avoidable jobs and pay crisis.
Resident doctors need jobs, and when they find those jobs, they need to be paid fairly for it.
Brilliant.
We all have a right to disconnect!
7 years of countless promises. Enough is enough!
What we want for Christmas this year is a fully inclusive ban on conversion practices to be passed into law!
No more loopholes, exemptions or delays.
UK industrial electricity prices are 50% higher than France and Germany's.
How can we compete?
Unions and workers have long campaigned for these vital rights.
Finally, working people will enjoy more security, better pay and dignity at work thanks to this Bill.
➡️ Banning exploitative zero hours contracts
➡️ Sick pay for all from day one
➡️ Expanding paternity, parental & bereavement leave
➡️ Strengthening protections for pregnant women, whistle-blowers and victims of sexual harassment
➡️ Making flexible working the default
➡️ Repealing Tory anti-union laws
Great news for workers today.
Secondary legislation is still required, so more work is needed but this is a massive step in the right direction.
