Art can be created with nothing more than sand and water, dirt and a stick, paper and a pencil, and is only limited by the artist's imagination.
Keep AI out of art. Commission artists, pay them fairly for their work, contribute where you can. And keep art, real human art, alive.

#AI #Art
And no, AI "art" is not more accessible than other types of art. Art does not have to be perfect to move people. The reason why art is so powerful is that people put their whole selves into it, and dedicate a significant amount of time to their craft.

Who hasn't been moved by an awe-inspiring piece of music, or been brought to tears by a script that perfectly captures that deep feeling of childhood loss? By removing access to the arts, we are gutting the future of art and expression.
(6/8)
The arts is already critically underfunded in many countries and its impact is being devalued in education. Art therapy is an tool that many neurodiverse people, including myself, use to regulate their emotions and express their feelings.
(5/8)
AI pulls from existing images, which were often taken without the artist's consent, which is theft. AI "art" also removes jobs from artists. Why would anyone commission an artist for their "doll" trend when AI can do it for "free"?
(4/8)
What AI should not be used for, in my opinion, is art. It is impossible for AI art to truly capture the highs and lows of the human experience, to encapsulate a person's life into a piece of work.
(3/8)
AI is incredibly useful in many spheres. It's been shown to improve accuracy in healthcare, to compute large amounts of data much faster and has been used to automate repetitive work. AI should be used to remove the friction of daily life.

I bet I'm not the only one seeing the AI "doll" trend on every platform for last few weeks? It's everywhere, and is very reminiscent of "baby mashup" trends from Facebook many a year ago. Do people really know the implications behind what they are generating?

So, on top of the atrocious orders against LGBTQIA people in the US, Trump has also pardoned Dread Pirate Roberts.
Surely, this stuff isn't real?

Did anyone else complete the #GCHQ Christmas Challenge this year? Managed it in about 2 hours #NoSpoilers
A reminder that stating that you are neurodivergent is not a blanket apology or excuse for being a jerk to others. #BeKind

I have low vision and I rely on alt text and image descriptions to provide context about images on platforms like BlueSky. If you donβt know how to write #AltText yet, I have several guides on my website that can show you howβ take the #AltTextChallenge! veroniiiica.com/how-to-write... (1/10)
Hmm, interesting! I'd love to know what performance testing had been done before.
I love being around people who find it easy to be happy for others. Gaining the purest joy just from seeing other folks do well.
Thanks Rosie π
What a great resource!
Can I be added please?
I'm non-binary!

I'm still non-binary.
Well, hello Bluesky!
After abandoning Twitter many years ago, I'm glad to be back on a platform that seems much more open.
Already seen posts about libraries, poetry and art, and am feeling right at home.
I'll be sharing about my neurodiversity advocacy and testing journey. Welcome aboard!
