My favourite thing when the girl started secondary school was the lack of dress up days - now in Y10 if anything is needed she does it herself.

I just wanted to be left alone to read - the boy has inherited my inability to read a class book at the same rate as the class and reads ahead because he's inpatient to find out what happens. I love that they can take their own books for when they have reading time - he's just started the 2 Towers

I'm glad our school encourages either both dress up or just wear non-uniform for the day. The boy is happy to wear his favourite orange fleece and to get to take his spear to be Bandana Waddledee - he mostly enjoys showing others that his Kirby books open the other way round because they're Japanese

The world might be difficult, but Bluesky can be a place of hope and optimism - something I tried to capture in my latest cookbook, which includes reflections on finding joy.
It won the Gourmand World Cookbook 'Food & Mental Health' Award.

Have just read the article. This is all her opinion which doesn't appear to be based in evidence despite her discounting other views as not being based in evidence. This article is a biased opinion piece and demonstrates no scientific basis.

A day bursting with colour feels like the perfect excuse to share this brilliant infographic from @compoundchem.com on the chemistry behind #paintpigments.
From cobalt blues to chromium greens, it all comes down to how compounds interact with light.

Dr Wilfried remembers treating sleeping sickness patients with the old medicine which was so toxic it killed 1 in 20 patients.
π Acoziborole is a revolution since those dark days: it cures the disease with one-day treatment course & is effective for both stages of the disease. #1Dose1Cure

Absolutely this.
I wish more people understood how dynamic autism is, not only from day to day, but also from hour to hour or even within shorter timescales
And so many different internal and external environmental factors affecting can come into play - just like for (whisper it) non autistic people

The media and Labour will now attack the Green Party relentlessly and subject everything to micro scrutiny while letting Reform off the hook in every respect. They are terrified of working class people waking up and discovering they have the power to change things for the better.

The Greens have 5 MPs now, all of whom fought and won their seat.
Reform may have 8 MPs, but 4 of those are just recent defections from the Tories.
Reform aren't the story any more. The media would do well to remember that.

A hand-drawn picture code letter where pictures can be substituted for words or part of words for example, a picture of an eye for the word βIβ
A little girl once sent a drawing to artist John Leigh-Pemberton for his approval.
He replied in this delightful picture-code letter - which she has treasured for over 50 years. Can you work out his reply?
