This is the era to take detailed notes on who the Business Idiots are. Every single person who bought into this at this scale has outed themselves as an untrustworthy individual with questionable taste

No one who follows me will doubt the good that local newspapers do. But the evidence is… impressive. Read this thread.
I had never seen that before.
I think about this Tony Benn speech much more than I used to
2003, folks. 2003.
Only fascinating if you consider shrapnel bombs fascinating, because DAMN if they don’t cause a lot of collateral damage when they shatter.
I have said repeatedly that we have not had a truly liberal president in my memory. (I would say in my lifetime, but I don’t quite know enough about Carter’s presidency.)
'Others acknowledged Starmer’s situation, but suggested that a change in leadership would make no difference. “It’s not working but I don’t see what the alternative is,” another cabinet minister said.'
The complete and utter lack of imagination of the establishment left is breathtaking. This is from the UK, but the same could be said of Chuckles Schumer & Co.:

Conservative "scholarship" isn't. It's affirmative action for glabrous failsons who can't handle the competition that a "DEI hire" had to defeat to get into undergrad.
You know who could put a stop to this in a heartbeat? Clark Hunt. “Sorry, Gov. Kelly. I can’t condone moving my football team to a state that would do this.”
On this date 40 (FORTY) years ago, the Legend began.
Truck is full of gas, I am full of cheeseburger. A raven landed nearby so I tweeted the whistle I bought from @mostlybree.kitrocha.com and tossed it a French fry. I will train every corvid in Susanville to come to the sound of community defense whistles.
Well, that headline isn't creepy as fuck, no, not at all...
Shared it with my spouse, a pediatrician.
If you have student loans and have worked at a college in the last decade or so, it's worth taking another look to see if you're in line to have those loans forgiven.
Apparently they changed the PSLF requirements sometime in the last four years so that working for a private college now counts. About half of my remaining student loans now have enough qualifying payments to be forgiven; the other half will get there either in the fall or next spring.
Yesterday, those who teach Intro to Sociology at Florida colleges (as opposed to universities) received a ready-made curriculum from the state and were ordered to teach it.
Yes, you read that correctly. The *state* is enforcing a curriculum on college profs, complete w/ the following restrictions:
