Trump’s Assault on Immigrants Hurts U.S.-Born Workers, Too The research is clear: when immigrant workers are targeted, it threatens all workers’ ability to fight for better pay and conditions.

"When immigrant workers are targeted, it threatens all workers’ ability to fight for better pay and conditions," writes @sarahlazare.bsky.social @inthesetimes.com. That's why we need equal rights for ALL workers. See equalrightsforallworkers.com for more. inthesetimes.com/article/trum...

Break the Chains: "Trump is a fascist, but did we get here overnight? No! The US government has never been an unbiased mediator between bosses and workers but has always been on the side of billionaires. To truly end this fascist takeover, we must have a national working class movement which fights for us. Join Break the Chains and fight back by demanding equal rights for all workers and an end to the criminalization of working people!"

Break the Chains: "If ICE are slave catchers, who are the slave makers?
Over 40 years, both democrats and republicans recreated modern-day slavery by criminalizing undocumented workers through the ‘Employer Sanctions’ provision of the 1986 IRCA law.
This law was enacted only to benefit bosses and divide workers. Lets stop the criminalization of working people by demanding equal rights for all workers and an end to “Employer Sanctions”!"

Defunding ICE's funding is a start but it's not enough to end Trump's terror on ALL working people. ICE is a tool that Trump and past admins used to enforce a 1986 law that criminalizes undocumented workers. Demand the repeal of that law so we can unite. bsky.app/profile/rami...

New York Times article "Where Did All the American-Born Roofers Go" and a photo from article.
Break the Chains response: "The New York Times fails to answer its own question!
Construction jobs have been under attack through subcontracting for 50 years, because bosses can exploit an underclass of workers with no right to work or organize. Our bosses crushed our job economy, lowering union membership rates and reducing wages. The only way to stop the spiraling of our working conditions and improve the US job market is to unite working people to fight back against the system which criminalizes all of us!"

@nytimes.com fails to answer its question! Jobs turned 'bad' because bosses use an underclass of workers to drag down our working conditions. The only way to end this is to unite the working class and fight against the criminalization of working people. Learn more at equalrightsforallworkers.org

Anti-ICE Protests Spread Across U.S. After Fatal Shooting The killing of Renee Good and shooting in Portland has sparked plans for 1,000 anti-ICE protests this weekend

The execution of Renee Good clearly shows that ICE's assaults are not just a war on immigrants but a tool to silence all workers. We must go further beyond ICE accountability to demand equal rights for ALL workers @ equalrightsforallworkers.org. time.com/7345243/ice-... #SayHerName #stopiceviolence

Article from Philly Inquirer about Bucks County Sheriff ending partnership with ICE!
Break The Chains statement: "Because of the so-called ‘Employer Sanctions’ Law, undocumented people do not report crimes for fear of deportations. This does not help American citizens but just makes the US less safe for everyone. Let’s end ‘Employer Sanctions’ which actually hurts our country and divides workers. Join Break the Chains and the fight for equal rights for all workers!"

Opinion | Things Are Terrible in Europe, and They’re Only Going to Get Worse The continent’s parlous economy and ascendant far right augur a grim future.

Across the world, we are seeing similar patterns: “The Merkel consensus … wound up destroying dissidence to its left while allowing discontent on the right to thrive. …Railing against immigration … allow a cathartic release and the illusion of control.” www.nytimes.com/2024/12/22/o...

The Growing Cost of Making C.E.O.s Safe The tragic killing of UnitedHealthCare’s Brian Thompson has spurred companies to ratchet up security for their most senior executives.

How out of touch is this that after the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, NY Times publishes articles about the costs of protecting industry CEOs while mentioning little to nothing about how more Americans are priced out of healthcare access. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/06/b...

Why Trump Allies Say Immigration Hurts American Workers (Gift Article) JD Vance and others on the “new right” say limiting immigration will raise wages and give jobs to sidelined Americans. Many studies suggest otherwise.

Democrats have pushed more and more workers into the arms of Trump by claiming immigrants “do all the work citizen workers don’t want to do.” Rather than strengthening labor laws and legislating equal rights for all. The NY Times is at it again, endorsing an immigrant underclass. #BreakTheChains
