People who spent the past two months engaging in atrocity denial regarding Iran and downplaying the violence and oppression of the Islamic Republic are now pretending they care about Iranian lives.

I'll end it with this: we Iranians owe you nothing. We don't owe you perfect victimhood, a perfect revolution, or any explanation. If you have a problem with that, the block button is right there.

These people don't hate us because a small minority of people bring Israeli flags to our protests, or because some Iranians support American intervention; they hate us for not being the perfect little pawns for their own agendas. Typical western savior mentality.
These people are bigots who view Iranians not as human beings with autonomy, agency, and lives/dreams of their own, but as sacrificial pawns for their political agendas.

There is no "right way" to advocate for Iran's liberation against the brutally oppressive Islamic Republic in the eyes of Caitlin Johnstone and other "anti-imperialists" like her.
I've never posted anything pro-Israel or pro-war in Iran, and I still get accused of being a "Zionist warmonger".
These same people will then boast about how they're "always right" but "too early" as if there aren't multiple, consistent documented examples of them being wrong.
