βYesterday, I voted against President Trumpβs reckless war, which he has not justified to the American people or Congress. The people I represent want lower prices and less war from this Administration, but they are getting higher prices and more war. No one is lamenting the fate of Iranβs Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The President, however, has provided no clear objectives or plan for the ongoing combat operations against Iran, which have already cost six American servicemembers their lives. As I have done in the past and will continue to do, I honor and respect the women and men of the United States military. My thoughts are with the families of the six women and men killed in this conflict."
Yesterday, I voted yes on a resolution that directs President Trump to remove the U.S. military from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its military, unless such hostilities are explicitly authorized by Congress.

February was a busy month. In Congress, I demanded ICE oversight and accountability, voted to protect affordable health care, and voted to end Trump's tariffs on Canada. I also spent time back home, in the district, listening to you and the community.
The average family in Washington spent a whopping $2,008 more in 2025 than they did in 2024 because of the Trump administration's failing economic policies. I will keep working to bring down costs and address affordability.
This past year has been a test of our democracy and our strength to stand up for our Northwest Washington values. 2026 is a critical election year, and we must work to take back the House.

On Tuesday, President Trump delivered his State of the Union address. He predictably touted that everything was great regarding affordability and our economy, but we know prices are too high. Read my full statement here: https://www.ricklarsen.org/2026/02/26/it-time-get-work/

Protecting Washington state's environment is a top priority of mine. I will continue fighting for federal dollars that protect local ecosystems and invest in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.
It has been a busy month in Congress. I am hard at work for you.
Protecting Washington state's environment is a top priority of mine. The Trump administrationβs decision to ignore established science about climate change is reckless, stupid and dangerous. Yesterday, the Trump administration repealed the Endangerment Finding, which is the scientific determination that gives the United States government the authority to combat climate change. From flooding to wildfires, Northwest Washingtonians know that climate change is real and causing measurable harm to communities across the Pacific Northwest. I will continue fighting for federal dollars that protect local ecosystems and invest in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.
The Trump Administration's recent decision to ignore established science about climate change is dangerous. I will continue fighting for federal dollars that protect local ecosystems and invest in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.
Each investment of federal dollars here at home will serve our communities for decades to come. I am proud to have voted to bring these crucial investments back home to Northwest Washington.
The average family in Washington spent a whopping $2,008 more in 2025 than they did in 2024. Housing costs like rent and mortgage payments are $411 more expensive for Washingtonians. I will keep fighting to bring down costs and address affordability.
I support impeaching Sec. Noem and more ICE accountability. Sign our petition to demand ICE oversight & accountability.
I have seen Noem firsthand try to hobble FEMA, retaliate against whistleblowers, and stonewall funding to help communities in need.
Bill Alert! Mammography Access for Veterans Act Expand veterans' access to breast cancer screenings through the Department of Veterans Affairs Permanently authorize telehealth or telescreening mammography for veterans These services will be available in rural areas or states where the VA does not offer full-service mammography care
Last week, I introduced the Mammography Access for Veterans Act. Northwest Washington is home to nearly 57,000 veterans. I am committed to ensuring that the women and men who have served our country in uniform get the resources and services they need.
Congrats to the #Seahawks on a great game last night!! Super Bowl LX Champs!! Who is going to Wednesdayβs parade? #GoHawks #SBLX
I cannot wait to see the Seahawks secure the win tonight β good luck to the Patriots going up against our #12thMan, theyβre going to need it! #GoHawks
Last week, I voted to fund jobs, education, defense, and measures to prepare for the World Cup this summer. I will continue fighting to bring funding back to Northwest Washington for essential services and defending our servicemembers.
I am looking forward to the big game this Sunday as the #Seahawks return to the Super Bowl for the first time in a decade. I am confident this rematch will go our way, and we will bring the Lombardi home to Seattle. #GoHawks

Since January, more than $19 million in federal funding has been delivered for critical infrastructure projects across Northwest Washington. I am proud to support these efforts and will continue to deliver funding to improve our infrastructure.

I support the impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and am committed to negotiating a full-year funding bill for DHS that creates accountability and oversight of ICE operations and DHS detention facilities.
I support impeaching Secretary Noem, along with 181 House Democrats. I continue to demand full, independent investigations into the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and full accountability for those responsible.
More than 25,000 people in Northwest Washington will see their health care costs skyrocket in 2026, and Congress must take action. I will keep voting to extend the ACA tax credits and make health care more affordable.
As long as I am your Congressman, I will continue fighting for you in D.C., and we must all work together to flip the House so we can make critical progress on behalf of working families here in Northwest Washington.
Iβve also been meeting with Democrats across Northwest Washington, including Snohomish, San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties, as well as the 42nd Legislative District Democrats and the @wadems.org. I look forward to seeing you at a meeting here soon.
Democrats won across the country in November while laser-focused on affordability, and we must continue fighting to drive costs down, particularly when we have a president who cares more about the price of Greenland than the price of groceries.
Democrats also secured essential funding for several agencies that the Administration had pledged to cut. This includes funding for AmeriCorps, Job Corps, and the Department of Education.
This past week, the House voted on a package of spending bills, which included DHs. I voted NO for more funding to DHS as the bill provided ZERO accountability or reform measures for ICE. I have also called for Sec. Noem is to be fired immediately.
It has been a busy month in Congress, and we have kicked off our campaign work in earnest. Here is what I have been working on:
