More than 86,000 women have now signed the Not In Our Name letter to say that trans exclusion is not what we want and should not be done on our behalf.
If youβre a woman who believes in dignity, fairness and standing alongside our trans+ siblings, add your name:

Gutted, mates. Unlike that fish
I technically just finished #Persona4 for the first time, only I categorically did not, as I couldnβt find the fkin fish to give to the nice old man to grant me BBFdom with the fox, which was, to my understanding, the whole point of the entire 80+ hour game
I mean, who says it has to be 100 before you get a prize π 20 sounds perfectly reasonable π
Same problem in movies and TV. They want big, fast cash over properties with a lower opener but a steady, long tail
Who was it who said you should aim for 100 rejections then celebrate when you reach it? Like that was the goal all along. Trick ye brain!
A new report and survey of trans people reports that 99% of them have had their mental health negatively affected by the barrage of anti trans stories in the UK media. 64% avoided medical care due to discrimination. This is a crisis.

Omg this would go so hard

How I arrived on Bluesky
Oh mate it may well be for the best, you need to prepare yourself, I have no clue when Iβll be ready for the finale
Today I talked about something I love and know a lot about with someone on here, and I didnβt try and hedge or discredit myself, and we had a good and nice conversation, and that is a big deal to me and I feel good and nice about it
I love the book and this adaptation - totally agree with you about Ike Talbut, what a performance. Simon is my favourite character, and he was Goldingβs too. As someone already commented, Simon was alas done dirty in book editing. I still think his depths are shown, but I wish we saw more of them.
Simon being unable to stop looking at the crucifixion during choir practice at the start, to the bleeding Christ pose floating on water at the end? Pure cinema. #LordOfTheFlies
Just seen episode 3 of #LordOfTheFlies. Jesus Christ, this one put me through the wringer. Simon is my favourite character and Ike Talbut did him such justice. The things he can convey with just his eyes, omg. Amazing, brutal, awful episode. How this is still only rated 6.7 on IMDB is beyond me
Hayley Williams in 2017
That was a giant-ass sentence to reflect both the fish and my fury (put a pin in that as a book title)
The gods of #Persona4 are now punishing me for neglecting all my other relationships in pursuit of being BFFs with the fox by resolutely refusing to spawn this giant-ass sea fish I have been tasked with catching in order to realise my goals
There is a core of people that want hope, that want unity and wellbeing and our lives to matter more than the profits of a handful of people. That the Greens can come through so quickly with that in spite of an aggressive media landscape and FPTP shows how much people *want* this.
Omg, this. Solidarity from one to another β€οΈ
I wish people would come to understand transphobia as systemic, structural, and pervasive so we could stop treating transphobia as explicitly limited to people saying "I hate trans people" and accept the way our society conditions us all to dismiss, diminish, and dehumanize trans people.
To give this some scale:
The Greens now comfortably have more members than the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats do... COMBINED.
Hope is Here. And it's here to stay.

Well, yes, trans people are getting drugs; yes, from entirely unregulated sources; yes, without counselling; yes, without blood tests; yes, they are self-administering; yes, without clinical oversight; yes, risking long term harm; yes, it is highly suboptimal.
What did you think would happen?
I keep thinking (and indeed saying) βthis is not the future I thought we would getβ about, you know, the horrors, but now Iβm thinking (and posting) it about the Greens polling SECOND!!! which isβ¦ a nice big deep breath of fresh air π
