We urge the Parliament of #Slovakia to reject a proposed constitutional amendment package that would ban adoption by same-sex couples, severely restrict children’s access to comprehensive sexuality education, and make legal gender recognition virtually impossible.

As the "child protection act" violates EU law, the ban on Pride (which is a subsidiary law) is also in violation - the @ec.europa.eu Commission should immediately place interim measures to stop the ban and protect freedom of assembly and expression for LGBTI people in Hungary.
The European Commission must act: the Advocate General's Opinion on the infringement of Hungary's "child protection law", based in extensive legal research & with persuasive authority to the CJEU, indicates clearly that the AG believes there to be violations of the Treaties & EU law.
And this in a moment when leading donor governments have pulled support from LGBTI movements around the world marks a critical moment for LGBTI people. An underfunded movement faces an enormous loss of resources and visibility while an enormous coordinated attack targets trans & non-binary people.
