Lydia Kaiser survived a brain injury after the deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis last August.
She was at the Capitol on Tuesday to call for Minnesota legislators to enact gun control measures.

Worst of the worst: "Pena Jimenez, a Mexican citizen who lives in Lakeville, came to the U.S. in 2000, owns a tile installation business and has no criminal record, according to his petition." Flown out of the country, against a judge's order.

MN is still under occupation. Nothing has changed. They just had a phone call.
ICE out now
Iβm out here in Los Angeles, where hundreds have gathered in response to the ICE execution of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. Chants and speeches underway here outside the Federal Building in DTLA. Working multiple cameras today so posts may be sparse
A Minnesota high school student was nabbed by ICE agents as she was trying to pick up food for her family after work. She was violently dragged from her car and lost her shoes. So, barefoot in the middle of winter, she was put into the back of an unmarked car in a small town (Willmar).

Neighborhood House and El Burrito Mercado are partnering to support immigrant families and businesses on the West Side of Saint Paul. The West Side has been hit hard by federal agents; this is a really meaningful way to support the community.

We need statewide TIF reform. TIF should be a tool of last resort to spur development in blighted areas. This type of use means every developer in St Paul will demand millions in taxpayer subsidies for future projects. We may grow but the tax burden will remain high for existing taxpayers.
I voted for Meg today. I am impressed with her lifelong work on improving the wages and lives of working people and focus on education funding. There are many good candidates for 64A, but Meg stands apart.
βObviously, affordability is a big theme of the campaign. But another big theme is just government that works β and I really think that our public transit system is such a big part of people's daily experience of government.β usa.streetsblog.org/2025/12/08/i...
Wish that were the case, but the deficit number for the 28-29 fiscal years already subtracts the surplus. If the legislature wants to spend any more next session, it will mean a larger future deficit (caveat: lots of uncertainty when forecasting out four years)
-several drivers said that not having to ask passengers for payment or transfers has led to less friction with riders.
-It also speeds up travel, they said, because no one was delaying things by rummaging for money.
βRidership eventually grew to 118 percent of prepandemic levels, compared to the average nationally transit ridership-recovery levels of 85 percent.β

I got some bad news for you buddyβ¦
The corruption is thick
Through the IRS, the Trump administration is giving huge tax breaks to large companies, allowing them to avoid the alternative minimum tax. These are on top of the huge tax breaks in OBBBA. The changes will increase the federal deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars.
Highlights of new development spurred by the project:

$560M Eden Prairie (1,000 units)
BIG milestone for SWLRT project with construction 95% complete, testing and operator training has begun. Today was a chance to celebrate years of work by over 4,000 Minnesotan laborers. The project has catalyzed $3.1 billion in new development with much more to come.
Service starts in 2027.
Much like myself, the city of St Paul does its last minute clean up before guests arrive. (TC marathon)
What is stopping St Paul from doing this?!
