Ha well all of this goes without saying atm - Iβm spinning up the code to work first then trying to make sure I test it!
But also my home π
A list of upcoming bin collections list with pastel colours signifying bins of food caddy, garden waste, recycling, general waste
Been working up a home dashboard for ourselves to keep on top of things like bin collections, shopping, tasks.
Going to try get it onto a nice mounted ipad in the kitchen.
Built the css / design system from eye dropping colours from our renovation pictures. Going for a soft muted beige style π
Also not mobile friendly atm. Will sort out asap.
Surely this is something Gov can do through a research partnership, sample size and then do some math as a basic starting point?
I'm using University College Dublin research, a small sample size, so not entirely accurate, but it's impactful I think when you consider the size.
Obvs like not perfect at all, comes with all usual caveats but just having fun playing around with ideas.
Still playing, and setting up my stack / Claude Code, but made a counter that shows since the year began, how many hours are spent on life admin in the UK by each citizen (paying bills, phoning companies, chasing issues) based on research from UCD Dublin.

Folks are making patches which is cool for Ableton
π
talk to me about antigravity....
lol, I mean mine was so simple but crazy how fast you can do this.
Yes think I am going to prompt a cat friendly version.
@loudowne.bsky.social and I have such a LONG list of 'farm tech' we want to build for our fermentation studio.
I'm out of control. There may be 10 raspberry Pi's on order...
Can sort of edit code across python/java/html etc but this just gives me that leapfrog to get into it/share ideas with devs
Obsessed.
It hadn't really occurred to me to make fun music tools using Claude Code until now.
This isn't complicated, but astonishing it took me < 3 mins to prompt and go online

I'm going to need to stop everything I'm doing and make more tools.
Apologies to all of Hannah's customers!
Something exciting is happening. Be a part of it ‡οΈ
Some hope, finally. β€οΈ
They start with LGBTQ and specifically trans communities then they come for women.
Full on hands maid tale stuff.
Folks - the religious right are massively funding politicians and orgs to push for βfamily valuesβ where women are only good for birthing.

Huge thanks to @amnestyuk.bsky.social for sponsoring and Anglia Ruskin University who provided the venue and support and the speakers who spoke from their lived experiences
Iβm going to set up a public group called After Section 28 next week for connecting/resources. Will post back here when live
Organising it took a mental and physical toll - I needed a week to lie down! Lots to sort after the day too, so photos are without people in them for now, only me, as I work through consent approvals
So here we are. A law I believe damaged me as a young person is happening again, and beyond education, human rights are being chipped away
2026 β Italy is going to the senate with a new education bill that will ban sex and relationship education. Even if it doesnβt explicitly say βno LGBTQ+ themes in educationβ, supporters justified it publicly as limiting exposure to gender identity/sexual diversity beyond heteronormativity
I opened the conference with this list of bills that have come into law since starting the film. Section 28 carbon copies (there are wider laws, but these have explicit educational clauses):
For now, weβre seeing new Section 28s come in. Hungary (2021), Florida, Kentucky, Iowa, North Carolina, Arkansas, Indiana, West Virginia (2022), Bulgaria, Georgia (2024), Kazakhstan (2025) and more
I cried a few times throughout the day, overwhelmed by the scale of overcoming division, including within LGBTQ+ communities ourselves. But still struck by the joy, the possibility of change, and the need to unite to ensure more rights are not steamrolled
Same tactics, different decades
It was important to start the day with this, as the narrative so often missed about Section 28 is how the religious right did exactly the same. Funded propaganda about how βratepayersβ moneyβ was being used to promote homosexuality, particularly to children, inciting moral panics
And that this funding is increasing in the UK
Then making the wider connection that these groups campaign against a raft of human rights, including anti-abortion stances and bodily autonomy
