In today's classes we've been relating anti-imperialist biblical texts (thanks, Elsa Tamez!) to some very uncomfortable topics (e.g., work/history of the School of the Americas)
So thankful to teach at a university where Truth is valued
Call for Papers: Poverty in the Biblical World (General Open Session) welcomes proposals on any topic relevant to the unit's scope and interests. Unit Description: To examine poverty servitude, and related issues in the HB, Early Judaism, and Early Chrstianity. While non-canonical texts and related materials will be included, primary focus will be on biblical texts. Innovated interdisciplinary methods as well as traditional exegesis are welcome.
