Also I’m getting super tired of the “I found this crazy thing being said on TikTok” version of journalism, it’s not far removed from the “billionaire said shit” school of headlines.
On one hand, it is very tempting to shake a fist at “kids these days”, but on the other I’m just coming off a four-day convention where there were authors and readers of all ages interacting and I didn’t hear about this phenomenon once. So… even if it’s a real bad take, I’m not sure it’s a problem.
