The courtroom trial setting is interesting, but deeply undercut by the Doctor's tendency to only respond with insults, and the finale that was meant to tie everything together is an absolute mess. However, the Doctor's characterisation otherwise is a substantial improvement.

I finally got caught up! I've really enjoyed getting into this over the last few months, and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here (especially after 3.1). The combat has been very satisfying to master, and exploration scratches a unique itch similar to Sonic Frontiers

I've been wanting to get into the main series PokΓ©mon games for a really long time, and I finally gave myself the push I needed! Really fun introduction to the series, looking forward to hopefully playing through a bunch more this year :)
(And I'd think the issues that can arise with variable fps are also less of a concern for AC's gameplay anyway π€·ββοΈ)
If you're developing for just one console, I don't think there's much incentive to building your game with fps scaling in mind, especially if you expect performance to be consistent. There is an argument to be made about whether AC:NH should've aimed for 30 or 60 in the first place, though.
I mean... It is possible to use deltatime, but that doesn't mean every game needs to. It's not a magic solution, there are a lot of things that can break with different framerates that need to be tested and accounted for. Variable fps engines are inherently more complex to develop
