I am assuming that everyone who follows their local councillor on bluesky is registered to vote(!), but don't forget that if you're a postal voter you now need to reapply every three years. You can do that here: www.cherwell.gov.uk/info/11/elec...

Do you want to bob me an email and can discuss in more detail? Laura.gordon@oxfordshire.gov.uk. Would also be really keen to hear any other thoughts you have on active travel in that area! (2/2)
That route is one of the candidates, the complexity is that there's a bus route! I'm going to be having an initial conversation with the parish council at the next meeting and then in more detail once the formal policy comes out (1/2)
Me and Emily standing in the bottom left of the screen smiling. Over our shoulders on the right of the screen is a village sign saying 'Blackthorn' and white painted gate. In front of the gate are lots of white and yellow daffodils
Sunny visit to Blackthorn and Wendlebury with active travel champion @emilykerr36.bsky.social talking about Quiet Ways to reduce traffic and make villages safer for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. More news later this year on an Oxfordshire pilot programme!
Blocked gullies don't just cause flooding, they are also a major cause of potholes. After it was slashed by the Tories the Lib Dems have reintroduced annual gully clearance and are investing Β£4 million in repairing broken gullies. It was nice to run into the team and thank them for their work!
One of the 'helping out other teams' things I did in Sudan was being on the interview panel for potential Chevening scholars. All incredibly impressive people that worked really hard to get to that point. To be on the cusp of a huge opportunity and then have it snatched away... Unconscionable.
This is incredibly brave and she should never have had to do it
'Repairing church roof' klaxon. And said with an entirely straight face...
Me in a green jumper and teal coat grinning like a lunatic and doing a thumbs up in front of a lorry on a suburban street
I ran into the crew clearing the gullies in Kidlington! Gully clearance was slashed by the previous Tory administration but the Lib Dems reintroduced annual clearance and investing Β£4 million in repairing broken gullies, to prevent flooding and reduce road deterioration

The contrast between the hospitality I received in Sudan and the way we treat Sudanese people in this country breaks my heart.

Great to see @makeuk.bsky.social backing defence bonds. We need urgent funding to rearm.
Despite big talk from Labour and Tories, only the @libdems.org.uk have a plan.
Bonds would raise Β£20bn over two years and allow everyone to invest in our nation's defence.

Can you post something like
So I half agree but I do think there's a cumulative effect. If you use self service, you drive rather than get the bus, you work from home... It's really easy to get to a point where you just aren't interacting with people at all and, idk, get out of practice/it's really easy to stew?
Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage want Britain to blindly follow Trump into this illegal war, even though the President has no plan for what comes next.
There is nothing patriotic about outsourcing Britainβs foreign policy to Donald Trump.
Patriotic lectures from someone who makes their money talking down this country hit different when they are delivered from abroad.
You had me at Christmas Markets π
I'll never look at Clip'n'climb in the same way again
NGL it's not what you want to see when you top out a new route π¬
I accidentally discovered a hidden Sudanese military base while rock climbing
And while we're here, immigration restrictions that prevent children from attending their father's funeral need to be changed yesterday.
This is heartbreaking. Treating people who've planned their lives around our word is wrong and the Home Office statement at the bottom is callous - completely failing to engage with the human stories, probably because they know their position cannot be justified.
Happy Holi - Liberal Democrats Photo shows a child covered in brightly-coloured powder paints during Holi celebrations.
Wishing everyone celebrating the festival of colours in the UK and across the world, a bright, happy and joyous Holi.

Let's not be too hasty but I'm starting to think Brexit might have been a mistake π
Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey:
"Tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott and washed up old footballers who mock ordinary people who stay in the UK and pay our taxes... As we protect them, it's only right for tax exiles to start paying taxes to fund our armed forces, just like the rest of us".

The best reason to transition away from fossil fuels is climate change, the second best reason is not being at the mercy of an economic crisis whenever there is a crisis in the middle east. The energy transition is a key investment in UK civil resilience.
Be a terrible shame if some of them have already spent 89 days in the UK this tax year and now get evacuated π
It's a strong look, you should go with it #helpful
