Trying to get the last bit of life out of my aging crabapple tree. Pruned it this winter after years of not doing so. It’s past its 25yr lifespan… advice is to just plant a new one. We’ll see how it fills out this month.

That’s incredibly close! Gorgeous! I often see them hovering at the top of the mountain we live on in San Francisco. The mountaintop is a city/county park that is maintained for nature, and it has a cloud forest of planted eucalyptus trees and Monterey cypress.
I appreciate so much what your org is doing, and why you use very graphic illustrations. However, can you please include Alt-text on these images? It is inclusive of folks with disabilities as well as those who use text readers, and it’s a strong part of BlueSky culture. Thanks.

What an amazing tribute. Fascinating to see his influence on you. The 1960s limitations of printing you mention have been overcome by the digital age and our ability to enlarge images on screen & see details in the bird within the scene. So glad your work is here for all of us, not just collectors.
