kind of crazy that if you have enough money and don't like what you see in the media, you can just buy up every film studio, news station, and social media app and change it
Panel of a comic book. A woman in silhouette stares out the window to the skyline of a city, saying aloud: What a stupid time to be alive.
you just KNOW before the Darkening of Valinor that whenever Fëanor showed up at a feast someone was like "ugh there's that gaudy bitch in his PRECIOUS SILMARILS again"
I'm constantly trying (/failing) to get this point across.
If you're a trained expert in a field, then it may be worthwhile to question the scientific consensus of your peers.
If you're not, the scientific consensus is absolutely the best you can do and it's arbitrary foolishness to disregard it.
I've never seen mayo as especially American. Vive la France!
The most radical thing we can do in this AI slopocene is to pause, breathe and be moved by great art that a computer will never, ever be able to even come close to.
Like this dance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQXS...
I'm so sorry, this truly is heartbreaking. I'm sure you did absolutely everything you could before it came to this.
Are there any ways to support the studio materially right now?
just one of many things I'm so sick of in the media at the moment

"To help parents and other buyers, we should distinguish between street-legal pedal-assisted e-bikes capped at 25km/h, and illegal electric motorcycles with a throttle and much higher top speeds."
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what have I been SAYING?!!!!111one theconversation.com/that-e-bike-...
Tarring all "bicycle with an electric motor" looking things with the same moral panic brush is incredibly unfair.
Ebikes are great. They get more people to cycle, which means fewer cars, fewer emissions.
Ebikes are not the problem.
What's sending people to hospital are illegal motorbikes that can go as fast as a car, have throttles, and you often don't even have to pedal. Not "ebikes".
The conflation of road-legal ebikes and souped-up illegal motorbikes HAS TO STOP.
I have a road-legal ebike. It's heavy. I still have to pedal. I can only go faster than 25km/h if I'm going downhill.
Regular cyclists on sports bikes pass me all the time! www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...
A screenshot of a tweet that says: Your art will betray you. It will look better in your head than on paper. It will make you feel untalented some days. Love it anyway. Because one day, it will also surprise you, fulfill you, and remind you why you started.
Throwback to something worth repeating.
I'm angry every time I think about how the Queensland government keeps ignoring the First Nations people who know exactly how K'gari should be managed.
Over centuries, artists and censors have employed the humble fig leaf to cover the penis – including on Michelangelo’s ‘unmistakably male’ David.

this weekend i visited a beloved local cafe/record store and they had a bathroom labeled "Gay Bathroom". when we complimented the sign the barista said sometimes shitty people ask if there's a different bathroom they can use, so they have a second one in the other room labeled "Super Gay Bathroom"
😂
Lol what's a "real" game then
So you can make the yoghurt biscoff cheesecake hack!
Fellow writers: I am deeply saddened to share that if we want the rewards of having written, we must submit to the mortifying ordeal of writing
Why continue to make art?
Making art is an act of rebellion.
Loving yourself is an act of rebellion.
Loving other people is an act of rebellion.
Caring about people, community, nature, is an act of rebellion.
Don’t let the apathy sink in. Don’t let the cynicism sink in.
Don’t be like them.
And here's a small but encouraging pep talk for those who need it right now. heated.world/p/i-dont-kno...
P.S. Oh, and if your response to an outpouring of helpless grief is to tell me to read up on climate change to understand it better, then, sincerely, fuck you too.
Ehh, I don't think it's even being virtuous, you know? Just doing the bare minimum existing as an informed citizen in this world? Ugh
😂😂😂 this is actually genius
Another totally messed-up act in colonial Australia.
First Nations peoples disregarded and sidelined, again.
Wongari (dingoes) murdered.
Shame on all responsible.

Thank you that's exactly it
I don't know guys. What's the fucking point? What do people on the right side of history do when the people on the wrong side of history are so obviously winning?
