Unbelievably smooth looking beige and peach bird with black eye mask and jaunty head crest is perched on a bare twig look intensely at something. The weekend?

They might be grumbling about the winter they had down here. βCould have just stayed in the frigid north and saved myself the tripβ
Thank you!
A round beige and white shorebird stands on a jetty on one leg. Its head is tucked back around between its wings in the back but its eyes are still watching the camera.
Sanderling dozing but also keeping an eye on things

That is a pretty wild ratio
Fabulous shot. Theyβre such beauties
Brett, you are giving me hope with these fantastic captures. There is still good in the world apparently
They should be there soon! Although I doubt they appreciated the harsh winter we had
A very bright yellow orange adult male hooded oriole is perched at a feeder. His face and neck and wings are black. His wings have a couple white stripes. The foreground is blurry bright light gray native plants.
Getting multiple visits daily by this handsome guy!

I canβt believe itβs that time again! Hurray
The universe knows we all need this adorableness!
A gray duck with brown head and white breast floats in blue water lit by pretty golden light.
A lot of the delightful winter ducks will be moving on soon. Hereβs an elegant Northern Pintail

An old log floats in blue water and is reflected beautifully below. Itβs all bathed in a gorgeous golden glow.
Golden sun + water = magic

I have just started watching the Expanse and wow is it good. Your rec stuck in my head so I wanted to say thank you!
Often nature moments are envisioned and waited for.
You see something or imagine it might happen, and you have to plan and return multiple times
Often it never happens
Then there are the completely unexpected encounters
Like a baby goose hopping on mamas back
And it's FUCKING ADORABLE!

Those are some excellent crabs! Great photos. Also 7 11 crab? Interesting
(Wakes up much too early after a late shift, blinks sleepily) "What? We're crab posting? All right then!" (Here are two absolute units, ID in the alt-txt.) :) πΏπ·ππ¦
Iβm looking forward to heading down this rabbit hole. Seeing a good lichen-y branch is always exciting

What a treat!
And she clearly loves you a whole lot!
A peeper in the open? How very unexpected!
Sheβs awesome! Fabulous spots
When I first saw this lizard, I thought it was a western fence lizard, but upon further inspection, I realized it must be a southern sagebrush lizard. The scale size and pattern were slightly different. Now that Iβve identified the lizard, can you #FindThatLizard?
