So I got bored today and wanted to see how a hypothetical Game Boy Color port of Comix Zone would look like. I tried to stick with 3 colors max for a lot of the sprites and tilesets, since a lot of GBC sprites only had 3 colors max. As for Sketch Turner (left), you can see he has 6 colors, but I imagine the additional colors would be part of a separate sprite layered on top, kinda like how Mega Man's sprite in the NES games did that (His face is a separate sprite, giving the illusion that his whole sprite has more than 3 colors). And also, SEGA games on the Game Boy Color isn't out of the ordinary, since games based on Sakura Wars were released on that system, even back when SEGA was still making consoles

Today I learned that Sonic Rush director Akinori Nishiyama "intended for Blaze's world to be the world of the Special Stages from the previous 2D Sonic games."
Kinda wish that panned out; I'd like to see more of that dimension. I'd especially love to explore Sonic CD's.

As one of the final pieces that needed to be placed for this Zone, our audio team has been hard at work recapturing the essence of the iconic theme found in the original 2014 version of the Zone!
