Both my grandmothers worked, as did several of my great grandmothers. One of my great grandmothers ran a boarding house; another technically didn’t work, but typed all her husband‘s book manuscripts for him.

When my kid joined marching band last year, we were being lobbied hard to volunteer, and my hubs was NOT having it. At an event, an earnest band mom was listing off all the ways he could help, and when she got to "serving food" he said, "I'm unclean." I about died right then and there.
My aunt and uncle have started sending out Valentines instead of Christmas cards and I think it's nice.
We literally pulled out our 15 year old TV and rabbit ears. 😆
Devyn is having to petition the office to take more classes, because the way her school is set up, you get 6 slots; you must take four core classes and a language, which leaves only one slot open for electives, and if you choose to do band (etc) that leaves no room for other pursuits.
I got a Murdle book of those kinds of puzzles for Christmas and have been enjoying it.
Doesn't excluding people from the census mean they will get less federal money?
I read that blue states AGs and others are having weekly meetings to share info and even draft motions, etc. It makes me wonder if they saw this coming and were preparing. (Not to minimize the feat of having it done in a day.)
If they get this right, this could be brilliant. Even if they get it wrong, the original is still brilliant. Win-win. www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/bl...
Scandinavian gothic.
Done.
Too long.
I just signed up for a free text service called "Nudge" that sends you an idea of things to do every day. They have an app, too.
We have voles in the yard. Unfortunately my husky catches them with alarming frequency and they don’t survive her interest. 😬
That makes me verklempt!
You would do a better job than some of these bozos.
He has Seen Things.
BB-Cate!
Can you see time at this point?
Question for #skywriters: besides the actual act of writing on your project, how do you do the deliberate practice of becoming a better writer? Do you have things you study? Ways you practice?
Yes, I had my baby 14.5 years ago. :)
Yes, 12-20 weeks is what I’ve heard. I think the logic is that most miscarriages happen in that timeframe.
OMG want.
I used Musely for dark spots and the results were incredible after about 6 weeks.
No idea. I haven't poked around on it.
Devyn was issued a new Chromebook for high school that supposedly has "anti AI" software installed. I thought this was interesting (and I have not heard of anti AI software before, so it could just be school propaganda, but...).
Why doesn't Google Docs have a way to export the entire contents of a file with tabs at once? This seems like a thing lots of people would want to do?
That's for the fanfic and it's none of my business.
A collage of Polaroids including a girl with a camera taking a selfie in a mirror, a pink-tinged empty mall, an Asian girl eating noodles with chopsticks, a guitar and a hand, a blonde 80s ice queen, and several other images distorted by mirrors. Captions on two of the photos read "The Crystal Court" "1987."
Cassie just wanted to take pictures. Instead: a fae mall full of glamor, glitter, and gaslighting. Her BFF’s brainwashed, her crush is cursed, and her only weapon is her ability to cut the crap. Labyrinth meets Twin Peaks in the food court.
