Today marks 10 years since I decided to get into XR (or AR/VR as it was back then). I bought my first headset, but I didn’t have the funds for an Oculus or Vive, so it was a humble Google Cardboard. I’m now working as senior XR Developer on an incredible XR game, that I can’t talk about just yet!

Today in New Zealand is Anzac Day, a day of remembrance. In 2015 I was in a NZ documentary series Decent from Disaster, in an episode focused on the events of Gallipoli in WW1. I played NCO Sergeant Ross, and had to grow a moustache and take a punch. It’s a good doco if you can find it.

Is anyone else having issue with the Meta 360 images (environment) previews not showing on the App Store? It used to work well with games like Batman Arkham Shadow. I’m wondering if an update has temporarily broken them? 🤔
