It is a giant illegal plagiarism machine monetizing all of our intellectual property, & like every tech/finance grift before it, the business model is built on breaking the law & malfeasance. And the rush of university leaders & administrators to embed it in every aspect of our work is shameful.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

I am in Spokane and feeling spicey so here is a hot take: There is no such thing as an AI artist.
It's fun, it's clever, and it's just the right amount of new and comfortable. It is a tiny bit more brutal than I expected, so anticipate a level of violence on par with Full Metal Alchemist. I am enjoying it!
