I will say this, with not enough knowledge of Automatic Differentiation (AD):
Higher-order implicit differentiation needs to be a part of future AD systems.
Hypothesis: AI writing is bad primarily because in general what makes writing good is the specificity of what it communicates and its information density, so the prompt that produced good AI writing would be as long as the output.
Finally, an equation of state I was waiting for years to be published: a new multiparameter equation of state for carbon dioxide: www.nist.gov/publications...

Alternate #rlang console in rust. Love the idea - IMHO more programming languages/platforms should embrace modernizing their terminal REPL.
I still consider current #Julialang REPL implementation (maybe with OhMyREPL&Revise) as the gold standard though.

really happy to announce the first release of the python wrapper to Clapeyron.jl, pyclapeyron. It is already on pypi

Yeah, unicode for me, ascii for thee
OK, I need to ask, what the hell is this?!
My style guide is:
- all variables should use the Greek alphabet first, then ascii
- for i ∈ eachindex(x) is encouraged over for i in eachindex(x)
- no (ascii) numbers in function names: a₁ is preffered over a1
Average programming language enjoyer: there are two hard things, cache invalidation and naming things

Interesting developments in the #Julia ecosystem.
Ohhh, i'm trying some bean patties for my sister (and myself). I'm becoming interested in non-conventional ways to make beans
The problem with allowing guns everywhere is that no one is safe anywhere.
New Symbolic-Numeric algorithm which uses rational polynomial interpolation mixed with differential algebra in order to give a highly robust method for parameter estimation and solving inverse problems on ODEs.

And peppers, any typecof peppers, they dont have to be spicy, just toss those into the soup
If you cook at home, Put pumpkin in your soup, you it does matter what you are you doing but at least put pumpkin in your soup
- from Privat et. al, tc-PR is a pretty good EoS with a lot of parameters (for more than 2000 fluids) and predictive schemes if some of those parameters are missing. one surprising fact is that if you use Wilson without a combinatorial term (in a EoS+GE setting), it can predict Liquid-Liquid!
- There are Chebishev coefficients fitted to solve single-component saturation pressures of PR, RK and vdW-type models. Leibovici talked about this, but basically Pr/Tr = f(α/Tr, Ωa). Also known as "Superancillaries", they can solve a saturation problem in a couple hundred nanoseconds.
- CPCA (Cubic + Chain + Association) is a CPA model with a chain term (or a CPC model with an association term?).
- Not really new (2019), but there are new Soave coefficients for PR and SRK:
PR: 0.3919 + 1.4996w - 0.2721w2 + 0.1063w3
SRK: 0.4810+1.5963w-0.2963w2 + 0.1223w3
What's up in the cubic EoS world?
- there are new EoS (Yang-Frotscher-Richter, Almajose-Melida) that try to look up what is the best atractive volume polynomial via exploring the search space (YFR used Symbolic regression, AM used grid search)
Is that chilean flag alright? If its that so, 🤝
I'm not from the USA, but we are also having left primaries in a few days. One entire world of difference between his campaign and the ones here.
If i can summary the differences, I could say that here, every campaign treat you as a child.

I kind of agree, the optics on the waynos are horrible
To be fair, this is my fault, there is a whole branch of mathematics that uses Measurements.jl like numbers, it is named statistics, i think.
