β¦ oh wait, just saw the article about the search for blue roly-polies for science research. Your poor li'l bug has a bug!
That is certainly⦠unusual! Maybe it's an escapee from one of those collectors (it's true, there are people who collect and breed "exotic" varieties!).
A brown bunny sits in a tuft of grass, looking alert.
'Tis the season for bunnies. Here's one in gouache (a type of opaque watercolour) on tinted paper that I did a few years ago.
A drawing in blue pencil of an adorable baby bun-dragon (that's a dragon with bunny ears) hatching from a striped egg.

A watercolour painting shows three orcas investigating the colourful sea life around them as they swim through a kelp forest. The ocean floor is covered with sea anemones, starfish, sea urchins, and seaweeds, as an octopus and a wolf eel emerge from their caves and colourful rockfish swim by.
Two page interior spread from a self-published children's book by Gloria Snively which I illustrated. I wrote a blog post about the making of this painting, with in-progress shots:

A group of hooded and caped figures walks along a forest path, bearing magical lights. In the background is a harbour with boats sailing toward a setting full moon.
I've been wondering what to use this new social media venue for. For now, I think I'll just fill it up with art, old and new, and hopefully give folks something relaxing to look at. This is a painting I did recently for a concert program.
Yay! I've been really busy with guests, but hope to spend more time here soon. Thanks!
Both comments came through fine; Tania just showed me that you click on the text of the post for which you want to see the comments.
Hi Jacey! Nice to see you here. Tania and Mike are here and last night Tania got me off my bum to sign up. I like it. Reminds me of Twitter in the good old days.
Digital pencil drawing of a yak in traditional decorated saddle and tack, looking at the viewer.
Hello, Bluesky! This is a test run post, but what the heck, I might as well put in a bit of art, eh? Here's a yak I made for the Zooly Art Challenge this past summer.
