For all the but how can we afford space exploration folks…this means we’ve already spent more on this war that started last week than Cassini cost in the 26 years it took to build, launch, and operate it.

The Government Just Made it Harder to See What Spy Tech it Buys On Wednesday, the government stopped supporting FPDS.gov, an indispensable resource for finding what ICE, the FBI, and every other agency is buying. Its replacement site completely sucks.

The U.S. government on Wednesday shut down a vital resource for keeping tabs on what powerful spying tools its agencies are buying, making it harder to reliably find out how agencies including ICE are spending taxpayers’ dollars. www.404media.co/the-governm...

if you believe in any form of free enterprise at all, the idea that the Pentagon can not only cut off your contract but designate you a supply chain risk and prevent other companies from buying from you just because you won't build killbots for the government should be terrifying

These kits are awesome! Finished this one last January. Best of all they are extendable. So you can add serial ports for a real terminal for example.

We continue our journey on how to consume Entra-authenticated MCP servers in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. After building a protected MCP server and used it in a declarative agent, now we learn how to do the same with Copilot Studio #mcp #CopilotStudio

Slop is the perfect word to describe the low-quality, high-volume, AI-generated content being thrown around.

If you don't have time to write it, I don't have time to read it.

I created this tide clock using 3 8x8 LED bi-color panels and an #ESP32 Featherwing running #CircuitPython. Each hour of the day is represented horizontally with the LED representing the current hour in yellow. Just after midnight it refreshes with the new chart for the day from NOAA.

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

Hi. I believe just about every still living open source project still appreciates more hands on deck. People with brains and will who can help out - with all that needs to be done. Hosting, testing, documenting, triaging, debugging, developing, explaining, hand-holding, security work, etc.

AI does not replace humans - it clearly makes some humans more productive while some other humans get more destructive.

If you're looking for a project to join, I always recommend you first look into projects you use, like or have a particular interest in. Start out by just following it, read issues, get a feel for the atmosphere and spirit. Then jump in and comment/contribute when you feel ready. The vast majority of projects are good and welcoming. You can do it!

One great thing about LLMs that resonates with me came from @kelseyhightower.com: that to enable MCPs, devs are finally willing to write great docs and accurate API specs, because without them the LLMs simply don't work. Just wish we always did this for other humans.
