Steam Chat is kind of bare bones functionality, so it imagines that a lot of users won't swap for the 2 week chat history auto delete.
Stoat is undergoing some maintenance atm, but once the dev fixes it, that will be a discord alternative~

Funnily enough, Steam already has one. It just is a bit lackluster in features. You can create a group and let it have voice chats and text chats. The only problem is that it loses chat history after 2 weeks, but that's due to privacy laws in other countries which is understandable.

Only two of these were macros, but it still felt REALLY weird to play when compared to Uni2/Melty Bloods 4 button fighter.
Sicilia: It just has too many damn buttons. No motions inputs and then replaced with 9 button layouts was a curious design choice.
